JCI Kootenay in association with the cities of Cranbrook, Kimberley and Ferine would like to cordially invite all East Kootenay business and community members to participate in the 2019 International World Clean Up Day Event.
This universal initiative is a social action program joining communities from around the world in one single and significant coordinated act of environmental reclamation. Aimed at combating the solid waste and marine debris crisis, World Clean-up Day successfully coordinated 157 countries in 2018 with a reported 17.8 million volunteer participates and an estimated 82,280 tons of waste collected around the world.
JCI Kootenay in partnership with the World Clean Up Day Foundation is assembling a large scale public clean up event in our area on Saturday September 21st 2019.
In order to best serve our communities JCI would like YOUR help to discover which areas in Cranbrook, Kimberley and Ferine are most in need of attention.
Beginning August 13th to September 5th JCI is inviting all community members to become involved in the conversation.
You know your community best so let us know where we can help, email Pamela Currie,
World Cleanup Day Chairperson for JCI Kootenay at mountainphoenixculture@gmail.com to make your suggestions.
Together we can create positive change in our communities!
