ART WAVES – founded by Shammah Odongo and Cranbrook’s Jessika Nicolajsen in the slums of Soweto and Dandora in Nairobi Kenya. ART WAVES – empowering , healing and engaging youth living in poverty, through dance, music, and media. “Art has a way of healing the soul.” Shammah Odongo ART WAVES – a ministry supporting and transitioning youth into a career or trade of their choosing, and out of a life in the slum where crime, gang violence, prostitution and severe substance abuse abound.
